When you belong to a religion, it is hard to get a perspective of how others outside your religion look at you- for instance how the Christians are viewed by the non- Christians, the Moslems are viewed by the non-Moslems etc. Since the attachment to one’s religion is primal, it is very difficult to look at it from the view of an outsider. Here, I have tried my best to take a dispassionate view of the problem. :

Christianity:
There is Us and there is Them; Love Them and teach Them the ways of Us even if Them is kicking and screaming.
also known as White Man's Burden.

Islam:
There is Us and there is Them; Make Them Us or destroy Them.
also known as the Jihad

Judaism:
There is Us and there is Them; screw Them.

also known as the Chosen People

Hinduism:
You are whatever you are; don't you dare to change it.
also known as Manu Dharma

Buddhism:
There is no Us and there is no Them - only It; If you can get over the illusion of Us and Them, you can merge with It.
also known as Nirvana

For those who believe that their religion has been unfairly stereotyped, remember, it is not how you feel about your religion, it is what others think about your religion that I have tried to summarize.

There's also that whole one of these using "sh*t happens" - i.e. "why does this sh*t always happen to US?" is one of them...
